Can Pay Yourself First or Savings Finder put me below my minimum monthly account balance?

To help ensure that you don’t go below your minimum monthly account balance, you can control the minimum balance required in your account before a transfer can be made by updating the Funding account balance limit in the Manage section of your smart savings tool in the Scotia app.

These tools consider all your expenses, cashflow, and upcoming payments to find the appropriate amount to transfer from your chequing account. In the rare event that the amount brings your account below the minimum monthly balance, you won't be charged a monthly account fee.
