What happens if I close the bank account that I use to make payments through AutoPay?
If you close the bank account you authorized us to debit for your AutoPay payments, let us know as soon as possible so we can cancel your pre-authorized payments from that account in order to avoid any fees.
If you want to keep making automatic payments through AutoPay to your Scotiabank credit card or line of credit account, you will need to choose another bank account that is open and in good standing for your AutoPay payments and update the information in your settings.
